allroyal: Oh my dear lord, this might be the most fantastic dress I have ever seen … swoon! (PSSST: She’s wearing open toed shoes.) The picture is of her in 1954 while on a tour of Australia. I found it very surprising that she wore them and decided to do a little digging. It seems like on a few occasions during that tour she wore open toed shoes (very low heels, mind you). So my next assumption is that maybe that rule is for the UK only?
